With great care, we are renovating Grinda Wärdshus back to its former glory.
Starting at the end of August/beginning of September, we are joining forces with the
Archipelago Foundation (Skärgårdsstiftelsen) to begin a long-awaited renovation of the
Wärdshus’s exterior.
The building, which has looked out over Saxarfjärden since 1906, will now regain
much of its former splendour, with extensive work on both the roof and façade.
This will mean the building is covered in scaffolding, but inside we will continue,
to the best of our ability, to offer what Grinda has become known for – hospitality of
the finest kind.
Our hotel annexes and the rest of the island remain open as always to eager guests.
In May 2027, we expect to be able to unveil our gem and invite you to the
grand reopening of Grinda Wärdshus.
