Staffan Wendt joins Grinda Bakery

His grandfather and grandmother ran the legendary Bageriet Kringlan, which opened in 1923 in Stockholm. Now Staffan Wendt has sold café Vattenverket on Lidingö and steps in to run our bakery at Grinda. With a tradition so established in direct descent, one is not surprised by Staffan’s high ambitions.

It’s about a wide range of products and even better opening hours. Staffan and the bakers will ensure that all guests get fresh bread when the mood strikes. And there are many requests, as well as a taste for warm, freshly baked bread.

Seven days a week, you can get freshly baked rolls, levain bread, croissants, pan chocolates and our own Grindalimpa straight from the oven. And in the afternoon, when it’s time for some coffee, you can pick up warm cinnamon and cardamom buns.

Opening hours

Grinda Bakery (in the harbor) is open from Midsummer to mid-August, every day from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Start your day with freshly baked stone-oven bread, sit down for a lovely breakfast, or enjoy warm sandwiches and a really good cup of coffee – all with a view of the lively guest harbor.

Grinda Lanthandeln will have the bread on the shelves from 10.30 until they close at 18.00 (subject to final sale)
Grinda Wärdshus and Grinda Sea Lodge will also be serving freshly baked bread for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
