🌟 A Starry Evening with STAR on Grinda
– A magical evening under the stars with the Stockholm Amateur Astronomers – STAR –
Welcome to an unforgettable evening on Grinda, where we explore the universe together! Join us for a stargazing experience that begins in daylight with solar observations and concludes beneath a glittering night sky on the seaside cliffs.
16:00 – Gathering at the reception. We walk to the veranda to explore the telescopes and observe the Sun.
16:30–19:00 – Lecture in the conference room: an introduction to astronomy and the evening’s celestial phenomena. In case of bad weather, the entire programme will take place indoors.
19:00–21:30 – Free time and a three-course dinner.
21:30 – We meet again at the reception and walk to the observation site in the meadow below the Wärdshus.
21:45 – Night-sky observation and on-site introduction. In case of overcast skies, the outdoor observation will be cancelled.
Feel free to bring your own binoculars, camera, or telescope – we will help you get the most out of your equipment!
The evening is hosted by Gunnar Lövsund and Jonas Jönsson from STAR.
Please remember to bring warm clothing and a torch/flashlight – preferably with a red light. It can get dark and chilly in the evening.
